This page has been made to bring to highlight the plight of the critically endangered snow leopards....

Two highly endangered snow leopards were rescued from a Russian travelling circus in Bishkek, the capital of Kyrgyzstan. See here for unprecedented pictures in these modern days and times. There have been so many unnecessary deaths of these beautiful creatures, especially in some Far Eastern Countries. With Nepal sharing its borderlines with China there becomes an awful shortage of snow leopards in particular. They die slowly, and in extreme agony and pain in these traps that catch them by the paws...
The traps are of course, illegal, but when one snow leopard coat can fetch over $10.000 they look like they are going to be brutally victimised always, simply because they are so beautiful. For so long now over a period of many many years, the snow leopard has been unprotected from mindless bloody slaughter, and it is only recently, that the western world has become aware of the terrible injustice and harm done to this poor animal, trying to live in its own natural habitat but relentlessly being poached upon by illicit traders and peons.

The plight of the beautiful Snow Leopard is not widely known. Their natural surroundings being almost on the roof of the world, they live on goats, hares, rabbits and fowls. They've always been the hunted and tortured victim of man for their beautiful coats. They aren't very interested in humans, and they're less agressive than other leopards and tigers. Also they can't roar deeply as other big cats because they have different vocal chords, so although they are "loners" in a sense, when in trouble or hurt can't call their own in to help them.
